The house was built in 1980s, when the client’s family was small. Now as the family expanded, there was a need to expand the house too. The only way was a vertical expansion so we designed one more floor above the existing floor keeping the existing structures intact, including the staircase. We treated the facade with massing of wooden strips to turn it into a modern-day house. This has now become a 3 bhk luxurious house for the family of five with beautifully carved spaces flexible for the family.

The site is located at Chandlodia & the project will go on floors in April, 2019′
