Chapter 01The Legacy
Indian roots. A contemporary perspective.
Since the 1990s
A practice shaped by time.
For 35 years, Aavran has brought together the richness of Indian heritage and a contemporary way of living. Our work begins with the people who inhabit it, and grows through thoughtful planning, honest materials and a respect for craft.

Years of designing spaces.
A continuing conversation.
We believe the most meaningful spaces carry something of the past, and leave room for what comes next.

Chapter 02Alaya by Aavran
Chairs, sofas & tables
Indian inspired
Heritage, at home.
Furniture shaped by architecture.
Aavran has spent 35 years designing spaces. Alaya is the furniture language emerging from them: chairs, sofas and tables drawn by architects, proportioned like buildings and inspired by India’s architectural heritage, from the arches of a pol house to the rhythm of a stepwell, reinterpreted for contemporary homes.
Chapter 03Architecture & interiors
Interiors
Spaces to make your own.
A selection of homes, each with its own way of bringing people, materials and light together.
